Applying for an assignment to a Young Life property should be done prayerfully and with the full expectation that you will be stretched. Jesus often challenged his followers to feats they thought to be well beyond their abilities. Over and over again the Bible records how, with faith, Jesus’ followers were able to accomplish amazing things. We are confident that God will do this for and with you as well. We are also confident that you will experience an amazing time of service, friendship, relationship, fun and personal development. The key attitude all applicants should have is that of servanthood. Does this describe you? You should be selfless in nature and willing to put guests ahead of yourself during your assignment. What will I do?
The role of all Work Staff is to provide support to each Assignment Team so that campers can be freed up to hear the Gospel while having one of the best weeks of their lives. - Helping on change-over-day
- Working in places like the Kitchen, Waterfront, Dining Hall, Pool, Challenge Courses, Housekeeping, Outdoor Crew and many others
- Helping with program related items such as:
- Tableau, Obstacle course
- Entertainment events, Pool Parties
- Workstaff presentations
- Rodeo/Carnival events, Talent nights
- Dance events
- Pizza nights etc.
- Participating in regularly scheduled meetings for your group
- Possibly being prepared to read a book or study together during your assignment and participating in spiritual growth activities
- Other events that may arise from time to time
There are many different jobs at RockRidge and ALL are important. Your placement in a job will be done prayerfully and we trust in the best interest of guests and you.
