Give today – Ensure RockRidge Canyon continues to be a place where teens hear, perhaps for the first time, that they are deeply loved by God!
Please give by June 1st – We’d love to celebrate knowing that the future of camp is on a secure footing.
Please give by June 1st – We’d love to celebrate knowing that the future of camp is on a secure footing.
Today we face a challenge:
A $300,000 budget shortfall. Rising costs for operations and maintenance items like utilities and insurance threaten to put camp behind.
We’re inviting our extended RockRidge Canyon family to raise $300,000 by June 1st. To date over $60,000 has been gifted, in one time gifts and monthly donors. We still have a ways to go. Will you help ensure that the water flows, the boats stay afloat and summer is always impactful and awesome?!
Monthly giving is one of the most powerful ways you can support RockRidge Canyon.
Why recurring gifts?
They provide stability through every season, enabling us to plan, prepare, and serve with excellence.
Every donation helps bridge the gap and fuels the mission.
Whether it’s $100 or $10,000, your gift moves us closer to our $300,000 goal. Thank you!!!
For over 20 years I witnessed the positive impact of camp on teens and young adults. Now retired, our monthly gift reminds us of Young Life’s ongoing work at camp, so that all generations may hear the greatest story ever told!

Camp is an integral part of Young Life’s ministry for a reason. It’s unique, wonderful and powerful! As a young adult, one of my favourite memories of doing contact work in September is that all teens can talk about is how awesome camp was! They realize how significant it was in their lives.
Last summer, Kelly and I were blessed to serve for one week on the Come and Serve team at RockRidge Canyon. I chopped a lot of onions and potatoes and made a lot of bacon. My highlight was getting to interact daily with Work Crew kids, Summer Staff, Interns and cabin leaders – future Kingdom leaders – it was a great role for me.
I am so encouraged and optimistic about young people today and believe that God is doing a wonderful new thing in their lives, especially of younger teens. I trust that the ripple effect produced by the Holy Spirit in the lives of teens over a few short weeks at camp lasts for decades to come!
Thank you for supporting Young Life’s ministry at RockRidge Canyon!

Our part
Young Life’s RockRidge Canyon camp operations are supported by three key streams, each representing approximately one third of our annual revenue. To raise supportive funds we host rental groups. We call it rental ministry season. Guest groups start arriving the week after the last Young Life Senior High camp ends and continue until camp starts again in July. We are so thankful for each church, each school and each mission who came to enjoy camp and in turn supported the Young Life mission while doing so!

I was the housekeeping Work Crew boss, responsible for a team of six teens. Honestly, they were all pretty different from each other, and by day two, I started getting nervous, thinking, “Do these teens even like each other?” and “How am I going to make cleaning toilets fun?” But what I love is that it’s not all on me! Jesus is fun and thoughtful, and He reminded me that He makes things work.
We decided as a team that if Jesus can wash feet, we can clean toilets. We chose to be joyful! We created cheers, jokes, and played endless games of ping pong. We even played a game called “Velociraptor” where each day, one student would pick a secret word, and if it came up in conversation, I would have to turn into a velociraptor. I also assigned a “Cleaning Captain” each day who would assign tasks and direct the team on how they thought the job would get done best. Watching them step into leadership and grow more confident day by day was amazing!
Fast forward to the last day of Work Crew. I have never seen teens so sad to say goodbye to one another. Our team became such good friends over that month together that leaving Work Crew was hard for them—and for me.
I stood on the stage of the club room and looked out at the 140 guests at Capernaum Family Camp. Many of the friends in the room have found themselves on the edge of belonging, not quite sure where they fit. Some are even further down “country lanes,” finding it easier to just stay away from communities that have been unwelcoming. With great joy I told Jesus’ parable of the Great Banquet Feast. My heart for guests was to hear that Jesus has invited them to join him in a banquet feast that he has lovingly prepared for them, welcoming and honouring them.
Our Capernaum team wanted the families to not only hear the truth of God’s extravagant love, but also to experience it. During club, the amazing work staff transformed the dining room into a banquet hall with rows of long tables and name tags on each plate, welcoming each guest. The feeling in the room was electric as we celebrated with great food, fun conversation, and an epic dance party. It was a small taste of heaven!

Thank you for standing with us—for the campers of today, and the many more still to come.
